That is required spell-reading in Hillary-camp.  We can't cash our $10,000 checks without being able to spell Diebold forwards and backwards, as if all else fails, good ol' Diebold is always there for the bailout.

 Rumor has it that Hillary Clinton and about 1,000 of her 4,000 blogging sockpuppets blanketed the most crucial New Hampshire polling places, sprung for hot soup and biscuits for all the low-paid volunteers present, then, when nobody was looking, they replaced the memory chips in the Diebolds with pro-Hillary data chips.   Of course, the manufacture of those chips was sanctioned by no other than Mr. Diebold himself, who is said to be in line for a surprise VP candidacy announcement.   Remember those chips as the real queen-maker (which are environmentally friendly, as they are reusable, btw.) when you see results trickle in from Nevada, South Carolina, Florida, etc.

I sent her $2300 over the internet. And I would send her $23,000 to stop the Homophobic Obama/mcgurkin anti Democrat group. I love Hillary, like Edwards and haet Obama. Not enough in the world could make me support Obama. These Obama people are masters of swiftboating. I feel insulted by the comment that I am being paid to support Hillary.

Today Obama's main supporter in New Hampshire called traditional Democrats the "Democrat Disease." Can't pay me to like these people.

Hey, Aiko, much as I enjoyed the VoiceCast there was nothing in it about the diary subject.  Was that the wrong link..?

BTW, the whole point of Brad's gasbag wasn't that Hillary stole NH but that as Democrats, and progressives, we have got to establish a process of at least spot checks of Diebold results, whether scanning paper ballots or direct digital election processing and as a twenty-five year IT worker I STRONGLY concur.  We will be up against exactly this same sh*it in the general.  How about a little solidarity out there folks?  I am not doubting Hillary's NH results but if you are equally confident what harm is there in testing the results with a bit of integrity checking?  I would never implement an automated transaction processing system without a stated test plan and parallel reconciliation, at least for the first few financial periods.

We have the obligation to insure that if automated voting procedures are the future, and we are already behind the curve on this, that there is a verifiable audit trail of integrity in the process.  It is relatively easy to institute validation of data processing activities, but it is equally easy to subvert the results in their absence.  I am certainly not accusing Hillary of anything but please folks, help us win this battle, if we lose it nothing else matters.

We must not permit the vendors of these systems to provide the integrity benchmark we use to evaluate them.  If there is one lesson which I have learned in my IT career it is to get an independent verification of vendor's claims.  Ideally, it would be run by the AG's office or the FEC, with a suitable, full-time technical branch, mandated with Congressional benchmarks.

The biggest obstacle to pursuing election transparency is the fraudsters who go screaming about Diebold within 5 minutes following any election result they don't like.

Any reasonable voices are inevitably drowned out by the irrational cries of fraud.  When these people stop making us look stupid, maybe we'll be able to accomplish something.

I made every disclaimer reasonable in my post.  Did you listen to Brad's comments?  It seems he did the same.  I don't give a farthing about the NH results, specifically, and said I accept Hillary's result.  But let us not lose sight of the donut, as opposed to the hole.  The biggest threat to progressives is the subtle infiltration into government of for-profit enterprises.  To me this is just an electoral parallel to the Blackwater phenomenon in international and domestic security services and equally alarming.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilence and this is a fight of which we should remain supremely concious.  I have some reservations about this from a technical perspective, I think these automated results should be audited in perpetuity.  In fact, it is up to the Democratic party to look after these results in the primary, that's their responsibility and they may do as they please, but when it comes to the actual election I want to see a verifiable alternate audit to spot check these results, mandated by federal law.
